Much of our unhappiness comes from stresses that don’t really matter after all.
Daily frustrations like being made late for a meeting, disagreeing with someones position, long lines at the store, project deadlines, bad customer service, overdue bills, and challenging children combine and multiply our stresses or our “unhappiness.”
But each of these annoying scenarios inevitably come and go, and we survive. They fall away into the past almost as quickly as they occur (unless you choose to hoard these memories.) They end up not really mattering at all. Yet, we allow them to have such a significantly negative impact on our lives.
What if we learned to let them go in the very moment we experience them? What if we didn’t let them negatively affect our lives? Why not make that choice?
By letting stress go at the outset we make room for the happiness and joy we claim to seek.
